Prayer Requests

   These prayer requests were updated on Friday, September 3, 2010.

  • On two different mornings, this past week, several different parents were observed trying to console their children while dropping them off at school. There are adjustments at various levels in the beginning of a school year. Please take a moment to pray for those little students who are having a hard time leaving Mom and Dad. Pray that the teachers have just the right amount of nurture to make that transition go smoothly. Pray for good friends to help make coming to school a fun thing. Pray that parents also have the wisdom and skill to know just how to help their child transition.  
  • On both of our K - 8 campuses, we are conducting some professional development activity in the area of writing. Pray that our students will be equipped with good writing skills and also inspired to use their writing in God-glorifying ways.   
  • We began our school year with about the same number of students we ended last year. We are, however, far below the number of students we predicted. Because of the shortfall in enrollment, we will be collecting fewer tuition dollars than we expected. Please pray for administrators and Finance Committee members as we explore ways to rebuild the budget so that revenue matches expenses. 
  • The Spiritual Emphasis Theme selected for this school year is Encounters With Jesus. As teachers and students explore the various encounters that Jesus had with folks like the Wise Men, Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene and others, pray that they will also encounter Jesus and come to know Him better and love Him more.
