Vocal Music Program

 

Music develops confidence, technical skill, independence, reading and aural skills, and knowledge of music history and theory.  Music literature, sacred and secular are explored in the music programs at Denver Christian High School.  The aesthetic realm is introduced, inviting all musicians to bring beauty to the world and to glorify God through sound.

For vocal music, students have the opportunity to participate in either Concert Choir or Chamber Singers, a select group chosen by audition.

Concert Choir

The Concert Choir meets on a daily basis during class time, particpates in several events each year, and presents 4 concerts per year.

In 2008, Denver Christian Schools took state in percentage of All State Choir singers per student enrollment for the 2nd straight year.

Chamber Singers

The Chamber Singers, participate in more events than the Concert Choir and present 4 concerts per year.  They also travel and perform in the region and internationally on an every other year basis. 

The Chamber Singers were named the most outstanding choir in the Metro League for six consecutive years.  They performs in many churches and at many community functions.
