Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have reached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Denver Christian Schools is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered education, so our athletes must pursue the goal of excellence within a Christian framework. Our athletic program teaches a Christian view of competition. Through participation an individual will develop physical skills, emotional maturity, wellness and happiness. Our teams must participate in such a way that we honor God, our team, our school, and the community. The ideals of sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, and dedication are exemplified by our teams, and carried on throughout the life of the participants. The athlete at Denver Christian Schools must be one who plays fairly, observes regulations and policies, treats others with courtesy, and endures adversity without complaining. It is an expectation that our athletes and parents demonstrate respect toward teammates, opponents and officials at all times.
